Aquamin is a high-quality mineral feed supplement obtained from mineralized marine algae Lithothamnion calcareum, which grow in the clean waters of the North Atlantic Ocean.
During their natural life cycle, the algae accumulate minerals; after they die, only a pure mineral structure remains, which is then gently processed.
The result is a natural source of calcium, magnesium, and more than 74 trace elements, present in their natural, biologically active form.

About the Dr. Rhaco Brand
The Dr. Rhaco brand was created out of the need to offer reptile keepers truly functional, professionally developed products. It was founded by veterinary surgeon MVDr. Jakub Osmančík, who has long specialised in exotic animal medicine.
The name Dr. Rhaco combines the words Doctor and Rhacodactylus – a genus of New Caledonian geckos that inspired the development of the first formulations. Working closely with these species and addressing their health issues on a daily basis led MVDr. Osmančík to develop his own specialised feed.
In reptile medicine, not only professional knowledge but also practical breeding experience plays a crucial role. MVDr. Osmančík is a lifelong keeper of terrarium animals and has extensive hands-on experience with reptile husbandry and the challenges it brings. The combination of veterinary practice and years of breeding experience enabled him to create formulations that reflect the real needs of crested geckos and other New Caledonian species.
Dr. Rhaco feeds are not the result of a passing trend, but of long-term development and testing. The formulations were carefully refined based on clinical experience, observation of the animals’ condition, growth, reproduction and overall vitality. MVDr. Osmančík’s expertise includes clinical examination of exotic animals, parasitology, cytology, microscopy, coprology, and assessment of husbandry conditions, including UVB, UVI and UVC measurement using professional equipment. In cooperation with reliable laboratories, he provides blood testing, microbiology and viral diagnostics using PCR methods. He is equipped with anaesthesia equipment and an endoscope, and also performs sex determination using endoscopy.
